Florence Pugh was vacationing in Ibiza this past week in all her pixie cut glory to celebrate the birthday of her friend, designer Harris Reed. But it’s a different friend of Pugh’s that has rumors swirling online: Photos surfaced of the actor frolicking on the beach with her Midsommar costar Will Poulter, and they look so flirty and carefree that people are speculating whether or not they might be more than friends. And if so, does that mean Pugh is no longer dating her long-term boyfriend Zach Braff?
We get it—when two attractive people get together it’s easy to instantly think they are hooking up. It’s not surprising that’s what people assumed when Twitter got a hold of images featuring Pugh and Poulter together in Ibiza. And while two costars hanging out together doesn’t automatically mean they’re dating…it doesn’t mean they aren’t dating either. It certainly won’t stop any curiosity online. (You can see the photos and speculate for yourself over on The Daily Mail.)
The way these paparazzi shots are taken gives fuel to the idea that Pugh and Poulter might be more than friends, but it’s worth calling out that she has been dating Scrubs actor Zach Braff since 2018 and have not publicly cited a breakup of any kind. However, their relationship has had its own share of speculation and unwanted opinions. The 26-year-old actor has discussed multiple times in the past her anger towards those who comment on the age gap between her and Braff, who is 21 years older than her. “It’s my life and I’m not doing anything to please people or to make it a better headline or story,” she shared in a 2021 interview with the Sunday Times. “I want to also be a person!”
But back to Florence Pugh’s trip: The Little Woman actor recently shared images on her Instagram of herself with Poulter and Archie Madekwe, who also starred in Midsommar. She captioned the post with an expression of all love and joy she feels for the time she had in Ibizia. As for Poulter, he is—smartly—not on Instagram so our social media investigation ends there.
